In March 2016 I got diagnosed with MS, I was devastated, thought I would never be able to do anything with my life
I went to a newly diagnosed group which told me that healthy eating and exercise would benefit me, I already exercised every day but could not stick to healthy eating, that’s when I decided to see if Tom would take me on as he dieted my husband for 4 weeks so he could do a show and helped him make massive changes in that space of time. So I knew Tom was good at what he does
Tom took me on as his client in June 2016, he done me a nutrition plan but based on things I liked so I enjoyed eating it, I began to make a lot of good changes and we had a check in once a week plus I could text anytime for extra advise or worries
In November 2016 I had to spend a week in hospital to have chemotherapy to kill my immune system as my MS was getting worse.
Tom was really helpful in telling me what amounts of protein to drink while I was in there and what food to eat as I was warned all the hard work dieting would go to waste, Tom assured me it wouldn’t but my wish was to continue to diet the best I could in there so he respected that.
After about a month I felt better than I’d felt for ages so I decided to take the training a step further and told Tom I wanted to do a show. In January 2017 we started competition prep, I have the worst will power but Tom helped me through it and even on my worst days of cravings he added in things to help me.
I had some trouble near the end, losing weight had slowed down but then I found out my thyroid had gone underactive as a delayed side effect from the chemo!
Tom adjusted my food and cardio as I was determined not to let this get in the way of me competing and as I knew he would Tom got me in great shape in time for the show.
I would highly recommend Tom, he has great knowledge in nutrition and training, I have also learnt so much about it myself from him and can certainly say he has changed my life for the better
